18t cb is too tall. use the 15t cb. check your clutch shoe you might need a new aluminum ones.

If you want to wheelie, 15t cb, lock down the slipper nut, put preload spacers on rear shocks. You also have to tuned within reason.

You are running too rich thats why you can't wheelie. The f4.1 likes to run 260-280f.

Umm I ordered a 17t Racing clutchbell...will this wheelie occasionally with the 49t spur (currently stock X). And another question, I got the Nova shoes on order and will this affect the wheelie ability, accelerate, top speed?

a8, the 17t CB will only make your Savage wheelie if you have a good clutch setup.

So....with the Nova shoes and Mugen springs it wont wheelie at all? I say this because with the stock clutch, spur, stock 18t CB, and with horrible mesh, i managed to pull like two wheelies but just barely. I figuered that with a 17t CB, aluminum clutch shoes, mugen springs, and HPI aluminum pipe it should at least wheelie ocassionally. Am I not correct?

And another question, what do you consider a good clutch setup?

just somethin grabbier than the stock plastic shoes.

Mine wheelied with a THS pipe, losi shoes/springs, and a 17t CB no problem, but the stock clutch is hit-or-miss. some grab OK, some don't grab worth crap.

So I should be able to wheelie....Yay! I know its gets old but I only experianced this joy for a mere 3 minutes before I bent the chassis plates.

260 - 280 REALLY???? i have the f4.1 (stock still) and it wont go over 201?????? and it wheelys like nothing im very happy with the engine so far im goin to get a sts .28 soon becuase i want more power but the 4.1 is a very good performance engine i run the 15CB and it wheelys (im not really a big fan of that) and the day i put the 18CB on the truck i didnt liek the performance plus it OVER HEATED LIKE CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so never again id suggest u step down to the 15CB till u get a better engine!!!!!!!!! when i get the sts im goin to drop in the 18CB that will push it

If your F4.1 wheelies like crazy and sits at 200degrees F, then praise the Lord! You've got a very precise engine that is built to exact specs (as well as the right fuel, exhuast set-up, etc.).

Yeah, I agree with everyone else. Wheelies are fun for about the first 30min, and then it gets old when you are trying to take off hard in a controlled acceleration.

I'm not sure how high above sea level I'm at, but my engines will run at operating temps from 230 to 280 degrees F. One of the factors I have to deal wth constantly is the changing weather conditions. One day will be hot and dry and the next will be hot and humid (as you can tell, we only have two weathers: hot and hotter). The weather is sure a beeyatch since I must guess the humidity and change the plugs accordingly.

I have not been able to get my car to wheelie either, I guess I see why now. I am running 30% Trinity Platinum. I have an aftermarket air filter, 16T CB and the 3 speed. But I am at 4200+ feet, and I have 4.7mm extended TVP's. Hopefully someday I can experience the wheelie. Let's here it for the LRP z.28 spec 3.
