Default Single-Conv. TX with Double-Conv. RX?

I have a new Futaba 3PDF-FM 27Mhz Single Conversion radio system, and I am looking at buying used recievers because I have more than one model. Most recievers I see are now double conversion.

As long as I use a matched set of double conversion Xtals, can I run a double conversion reciever as long as it stays with Futaba's negetive shift system?

Which of the popular company's produce negetive-shift recievers? I know JR and Airtronics are the only ones so far that won't work with Futaba...

There is no such thing as a dual conversion TX

Your Futaba NEG shift TX will drive Single, Dual conversion or synth PPM receivers

Hitec, Futaba and many after market brands of receivers wil work the Novak synth is a good choice.

Yep, its the perfect radio for my boats. The steering and throttle pre-sets are great, the rate features are real nice, and the third channel works great for my fuel mixure. I bought it a few years ago, but only put one season on it so far last year. Boats are a big project! I posted the question here because us boat people get shorted on topics, like this radio forum you car guys have.

Thanks for the replies, I found more info on the question so I thought I would post it. Seems clear and accurate....

PS: I'm looking for the goodies for it, Futaba discontinued the nice color grips for it. They had differnt grip wheels, and different size and color hand grips. Someone let me know if they see this and knows where I can snag them!

These dont effect your questions directly, but for your boating purposes I recommend an extra battery pack, the one in mine did not last very long.

600 mah is pounced upon my 2500+ mah now.
