RE: Castle Creations ESC Recall
As a user of 2 ICE 80s in my planes, I must say the support offered here is outstanding. I'm not happy there is a potential problem, but I give major kudos to Castle for publishing the defect and offering to repair it. Now to figure out if it affects me . . .

RE: Castle Creations ESC Recall
sent a HV in last month for either warranty or repair and have not heard anything. Sent an email after three weeks and no response from this too. Anyone experiencing these problems? or is there a slow turn around?

RE: Castle Creations ESC Recall
Castle Creations issued a recall about 2 months ago that affected many controllers in their product line. I assume they are still overwhelmed with work replacing and or repairing the recalled units so that is probably why you have not heard from them. Many of us here on RCU have sent ESCs in for the recall and received them back after several weeks. A friend also sent in a unit not on the recall and has heard back from CC after some time about the repair.
While I didn't like the fact I had a brand new unit that fell into the recall list, I have to commend Castle for standing up and issuing the recall. I have no idea how many units were affected, but it has to be in the thousands and certainly must have had a tremendous impact to their business, work load, etc. Hopefully your unit will surface soon.
