Which Elec. Heli?
considering trying helis again...have tried the JR Venture a few years back and got to the point I could fly maybe 2 ft off the ground in short hops but was always afraid to take off the pods and actually try to fly it so I sold it before I crashed it.. Ive also tried the Eflite blade with no success on it either. The Blade just didnt feel stable enough and was actually harder for me than the Nitro JR...So what is the simplist and easiest electric heli to learn on..I've flown airplanes for years but really wont to get into helis..58 yo and fingers getting dumber.lol

Align 450 (flybarless) was strongly recommended to me by a good flying friend for starting out. I have not yet ventured to helis, but when I do that is what I will get. It is supposed to be a good balance of 'big enough', easy to fly, easy to find parts and repair, etc.

This one requires battery and Rx, includes everything else (second least expensive kit):

I started flying with a raptor 30 and then moved to a trex 550e fbl, was a great heli to start out with, I also used training gear till I got used to flying it. I have heard a lot of people suggest the 500 as a good one to start with as well. I would not start with a 450 they are a little squirrely at the stick. However if you take it slow and use training gear almost anything will get you going.

450 are harder to fly. I just got a trex500l dominator from EBay for $550 it's stable and flys great use a training gear for sure. I started with 450's it was a challenge my raptor 30 flew 1000 times better, if you can get over that loud motor sound lol. You can get a trex 500e for $350 I think it's fly bared, going to better than a 450. Good luck

Not sure where you are based but I got my first one from RED5 http://www.red5.co.uk/remote-control...adcopters.aspx they still seem to have a decent enough selection.
