I was thinking of getting an E-MAXX, but the Stampede will be much cheaper-and only need half as many batts. And I can live with out the ability to drive in water. But will it wheelie straight out of the box with a 7 cell NiMh? The ad in a magazine states that it "rips wheelies on demand". But I want to hear it from someone who's not trying to sell me one.

vxl Yes.

xl-5 will have a lot harder time with wheelies but will still do it.

I have a 4200mAh 7 cell in mine and it will wheelie after a fresh charge if it gets good traction.
