I Cant Start Never Mind Tune PLEASE Help a NEWB
I have NO x 999, tuning experiance, so could someone help me with that and the engine is a ASP 12, by that im guessing its a .12, crap really eh, so HELP PLEASE
The engine turns over ok, manualy, the compression is good but it doesnt start so i think it must be the amount of fuel going into it, way too rich, i really need some help,
Thanks
Ryan
(sorry about the over exposure on the close ups, of inside)

Is the glow plug good and is the battery in the glow plug igniter fully charged or good? Did you prime it and is there fuel getting to the carburetor?

RE: I Cant Tune PLEASE Help a NEWB
is there fuel getting to the car, phew, ive used a whole toilet roll to mop it up, my fuel tank popped, i thought the carnage was over and then i opened the engine lol
erm, yeah i think so, ive got it here, wiht me, i dont think the glow plug is broke, cause when i was trying to start it yesterday, the exhaust was warmish, i will be gettin it checked on saturday, the only thing is its £19, and if i know the problem or if some knows how many turns to pu on the valve, just to get it running, tuning is an after thought for me.
ive been blowing down the fuel line andseeing how easy it is when the throttle is open is this meant to be easy or quite hard
Thanks
Ryan

is a way to check the glow plug
can you put the starter on the glow plug out of the cylinder, or just use a voltmeter, to test if electricity passes through the glow plug
Thanks
Ryan
(hope its easy to understand)

Take the glow plug out and put in the igniter and if the whole coil glows bright red it is good. Now this is if the battery in your igniter is good as well. Be careful, as the plug gets hot so you should use pliers. My spelling or English is not real good so do not feel bad. Just makes it easier to help if I can understand.

im glad ive taken apart the engine, i mean i knew exactly how they worked before, but it helps to get a feel of how it fits an stuff for an easier understanding or the car (this sounds like somthing out of a novel so ill stop )

I am guessing you do not have a manual correct? If not most times manufactures web sites have it where you can down load them for free.
When bottoming out a needle be careful as if you over tightened it you just messed up the seat. Most small blocks are around 2 turns out on the high-speed needle. On the low speed needle I would try it flush.
