I love mine , it`s fast but the stock shock towers are weak. So if you buy one get the thicker towers , I also put thicker diff oil in the center diff to put more power to the rear and keep the front tires from ballooning so much .

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
Horizon owns, developes and distributes Sportwerks (plus Losi, Dynamite and a bunch of other popular RC brands).
Horizon is one of the biggest/best distributors out there. Parts should not be an issue. Horizon Hobby.com
Hey, while we are here, anybody run an extended chassis on the ST? I've seen an aftermarket kit that adds like 1.5". It is a custom cut alum beauty with stronger metal braces, shock towers and a longer drive shaft.

The mayhem ST is a very fast truck out of the box. Braking was a problem. didn't have enough braking power, but that was easely cured. Also the car isn't as easy to handle like the hellfire or jammin crt. But if you know how to drive this thing, then u will easy smoke the hellfires.

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
BS. My LHS has them onstock all the time and it only takes a week to get anything. tops.
I was bashing the hell out of mine today actually. I was hitting this jump at WOT on pavement doing atleast 25MPH I am sure. The MST was getting 10-15 ft of air and tumbling all over.
You know what I broke? absolutley nothing. Nothing at all. I love my Mayhem ST. Like one guy said here, it is a handful to handle, but once you get it down...it's all gravy.
As far as speed goes. It does 40 easy out of the box (13T CB), more like 45-50MPH according to RC Car action. Not to mention it hits 30MPH in under 2 seconds in a drag with the stock tread. I would put money on it being in the top 3 fastest's RTR's if not THE fastest. Talk all the crap you want revo or LST people, bottom line is the MST hauls and is ATLEAST as fast as most anything out there. But hey, this is a truggy and those are MT's so whatever.
My brakes kick butt. They lock'em up with the stock servo on pavement or whatever.
The stock .26 is a BEAST. Dynoed at 1.3HP. Revs past 40K no problem too. I have almost 4 gallons through mine and it still rips like it did after just 1 gallon.
With a spektrum radio setup included for 550 bucks, It's a killer deal. Buy one dude it's great.
Also, I have really only raced my mayhem st, yesterday and today where the only days I have bashed it in the 7 months I have had it here. I got it in winter, so I raced indoor dirt track. BASHING IS GREAT WITH THE MAYHEM!!! It's short wheel base makes it great getting over almost anything cause it rarley ever gets hung up. Also, it's just so fast, it handles really well over bumps and such, jumps great......all in all it's just a grin driving it. and I drive it, HARD. Great truck. Feel free to ask me questions.

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
The only weak parts on the mayhem st are the steering knuckles and rear tower , has anyone found a better steering knuckle set-up ?
I know the new turmoil knuckles will work and they look alot thicker , the arms are like rpm arms , i havent broken anything but some steering knuckels and about 2 gallons so far threw it , the trucks rips . I had mine 10 ft. in the air yesterday and it flys really nice , I hit the breaks in the air and broke another steering knuckle when I landed (front end came down kinda hard ). The knuckles are not that weak but i wish they would make alumium ones. besides that the mayhem st is a very solid truck ...

Get the 5MM ST's like me. They will NEVER bend. Plus they look platinum plus!!!!!!! [8D]
I break a lot of knuckles too, but only at the trakc when I come off a jump and hit a tube at a wierd angle.....I sure wish they made some aluminum ones for sure. I will be getting some turmoil ones ASAP.

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
DodamissC, Where are the 5mm's? Who supplies them?
My Mayhem feedback:
Getting the Spektrum was great...in a RTR, this kind of radio is unheard of! I added a second receiver to my Inferno GT.
This is the first vehicle (after various buggies, Savages, etc) that I can drive all day on less than short grass and not worry. It absolutely thrives on grass, like fields and such.
I have the biggest carb insert in at all times.
Brakes are good, strong. Adjust end-point on the radio or tighten down the knurled knobs to firm them up. Kinda conservative out of the factory for brake action, but easily adjustable duals.
The roto type start is much better than I thought it'd be. I though I would hate it. I like it.
My biggest complaint is that I have to adjust the diff fluid. This is kind of a mixed bag, because at least it comes wth diff fluid from the factory for their preferred set up, instead of grease like every other RTR vehicle out there. So at least you get diff action out of the box.

I love mine too. Wish I had got the one with the Spektrum radio but I found a DX3 on ebay. I have only broke an A-Arm or two and bent the rear shock tower but that was cause I flipped it on pavement with the body off. Adapting a wing is easy. I useD the Mugen kit with and HPI wing. That will help protect the truck, fly in the air, downforce and stability. It's faster than my Revo I swear. And no other trucks pass me on the straights. The motor is real good (based on the Mach 26).

Here's the upgrades for the Mayhem ST. (Horizon Hobby dot com)
SWK9158 - TORQUE ROD STIFFENERS (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SO THE CHASSIS DOESN'T TWIST UP)
SWK9291 - ALUM FR UPPER ARMS
SWK9290 - ALUM FR LOWER ARMS
SWK9284 - ALUM RR ARMS
SWK9154 - ALUM RR HUBS
SWK9006 - TI NITRIDE SHOCK SHAFTS (ANOTHER EXCELLENT UPGRADE)
SWK9010 - RUBBER SHOCK BOOTS
SWK9098 - ALUM DIFF HOUSINGS, FR & RR (FO SHO GET THESE)
SWK9097 - ALUM CENTER DIFF HOUSING (THIS TOO)
SWK3186 - WING MOUNT ASSEMBLY
SWK3188 - WHITE WING
SWK9200 - POLISHED 053 INLINE EXHUAST
SWK9163 - 5MM RR SHOCK TOWER (NOT 100% THIS FITS THE ST, SHOULD BE EXACTLY THE SAME AS FOR THE 1/8 BUGGY. AS ARE THE RR SHOCKS, RR ARMS, ETC.)
I run mine with 40 series pro wheels with the CrimeFighter MT's (BowTies are good also). The stock wheels are offset but if you get the non offset wheels it will turn and track better.

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
Thanks for the part info:
The wing is backordered until June!
The wng mount is available now.
Any reason I can't get just the wing mount for the ST and grab like an Ofna wing or something?
Also, a pretty good chunk of body has to get cut off the back to clear the wing mount, right?

Any wing that doesn't extend wider than the body. The HPI wing is like $8.

I just cut straigt up both sides the width of the wing mounts and cut across the top to clear.

RE: Sportwerks Mayhem ST
my Mayhem st turns heads every time I race it...noone catches me on the straightaways and it gets some awesome air. Excellent truck to race and bash. 6 7 8 ft of air off jumps at our track is all day! man it rips so much I just put the .26 engine on my 8th scale buggy...LOL

RE, horizon dot com ? I have just picked up an ST, which I might add is an excelent truggy!! I am in England and am looking at spare parts/hop ups, I notice on the horizon site that some of the parts are listed as, "Rubber Shock Boots(4), TUR [SWK9010]". What does the "TUR" stand for and are the parts listed as "TUR" for the Mayhem ST? Any help would be great.
