Covering a Byron Foam plane with Solartex?
Can a Byron foam plane be covered with Solartex? Also, what is the best brand of filler to use on the foam to get rid of years of dings and scrapes to this old kit?
Thanks
Thanks

Skypilot_one , , The low melting point of the foam requires the use of a low temp covering material like Econokote .
The higher temps required to adhere fabric covering may melt the foam or at the least cause it to bead .
The recomended filler is actualy a Lite spackling avail in different brands at most Home Depot or Lowes etc...
It is light , applies easy , sands easily to a smooth surface and bonds well to foam .

Thank you both for the replies.
I was hoping the Solartex was low temp enough, I have a huge roll of it. I'll be buying a big roll of Econokote and a small bucket of the spackle.
