Default Dartman's ZipKits I box.

Well my I box is getting closer to being done. Only a few more things left to do. Need to go pick up a new remote and get the linkage's all hooked up. I started it today for the first time. Sounded good.. Here are a few pics. Also need to paint the cover. Should have it all done by this weekend..

Thanks guys. The paint is base coat clear coat. The outside of the pinstripe changes to a few more colors. Couldnt get it to show up on the camera. The paint has this diamond dust and gold flakes in it.

Here are a couple of pictures from the earlier stages of the build. Right after being painted and a few days later. Kinda shows more of the colors changing. Thank You every one again. This was my first build and was very fun. Will prolly be building another boat sometime.

Well She finally got wet today. Didnt start off very well. Had some prob's with it not wanting to turn. Thank god there was a hobby shop 2 seconds away. Got that fixed.. Next I need to get the trim tabs set right. She is very unstable.. Flipped it once and landed right side up and kept going. The last flip wasnt so lucky. Other than a few things that need attention. She ran very well. Got every thing all dry and going to try again tomorrow.

Thank You! It was very rewarding to finally get her in the water. I am still new to this. "Have nitro trucks" So I have some learning to do on the adjustments to get her running right. As I said before she was very loose. Seemed the nose was out of the water to much. Tonight I adjusted the trim tabs . So tomorrow Ill see how that does.

I am ready to get this thing back in the water again.. I am wondering if I should mess with the trim tabs or lower the skag or even angle the skeg a little. I am not sure what to do. Any help on setting her up to handle a little better would be great. The front of the boat seemed to ride a little to high. Sorry for all the ?'s I am pretty new at this.

Make sure the strut has no positive angle, this would raise the bow and make the boat loose. you might even try a litle negitive on the strut and use a straight edge on the bottom of the boat to set the trim tabs. I would sart out with them straight with the straight edge then if the boat is still to loose then add more trim tab(adjust down) this agin should help to settle the bow of the boat. If all this fails you might have the CG to far back and need to move some weight forward toward the bow.
I would try all the above first before you start moving anything around, the boat has an awsome finish, very pretty paint work.

Good Luck;

Thank You very much. I will try that. as for the motor im not sure I can move it much more. Its pretty close to the front now. hopefully everything else will work. Thank You again and for the complements on the paint work too.

Well today was a pretty good day. The cracker ran pretty good I think for being pretty much stock. Stock G260, Tuned pipe set at 14 inches.. Octura X670 Prop.. Went and picked up a GPS today and got a reading of 40.1 the first run. And the last run came up with 43.4.. Not to bad I think.. The pic was taken with my phone so its not that good. Forgot the camera today... Now I need to figure out what prop to try next.. Any sugestions?
