Spektrum DM8 (futaba) module with XPS antenna

Default Spektrum DM8 (futaba) module with XPS antenna

Has any one tryed using a XPS antenns on a spektrum module? I really don't the way spektrum has there antenns mounted to the Tx, So would like to know if any one can think of any problems I may have?

This one looks pretty much like yours.

The one thing I do like about the antenna included is that it's mounted on top of the tx and not behind it like the one you showed. Also the aftermarket one might hit that chrome bar that protects the receiver on the back. I'll see when I get it which one I'll use. Thing is I have a rubber duck 72Mhz antenna for my 72Mhz tx module which I'd still like to use for my Shock flyer which is still ppm. That antenna goes on top where the Spectrum one goes so I hope the aftermarket one works. That way I can switvh back and forth really easy. BTW, I just got done setting up one 50cc Yak with this module and an AR7000. It was so easy. Everything worked exactly as the manual instructed.

Any real world results with this antenna?

I too dislike the exposed cable antenna when using this combination.

I would love to hear any feedback on folks who are using the DM8 module with a module mounted antenna like noted above.
