Default Tartan Twin Resource

Hello everyone, questions being, I have a Tartan twin, on glow, but with the most recent distributor scaling back, Jim Cline fuel pump dealer, they have indicated no longer supplying parts, service to engine. Any ideas, if any, for resources on this engines and it's brothers? Thank you

I would talk to SG engine's principal, Mr. Sahak (hope I got it right). He presently imports Rossi engines from Italy and sells them on eBay. Maybe he will be interested in helping we Tartan owners get some parts? He is a good businessman and this is a good opportunity for him.

I was amazed to discover a while back that the Tartan engines were still being manufactured in Italy. Perhaps they still are? I'll do some nosing around on the net and try to find out. I wonder if we could start a Tartan Twin, or just a Tartan engines club here on RCU?

That's a thought regarding a "group" of individuals sharing operational characteristics of the Tartan series would be nice.
My own twin I've had for 20 years and not gotten to run it at all !! Raising kids, school etc. But now wife and I are empty nesters and have a little more time to play now I've got a Byron Eagle I bought in 83' still on the shelf waiting for the twin ! Let's us know if you come up with additional resources. I'll look into your suggestion regarding on the Rossi distributor. Thanks for your input.

I think a Tartan club would be great. May be someone could get all of Jim Clines notes and get them posted.
