Default Gasser Runs Backwards...??

I know it's posible because I saw it happen...I was helping a fellow flier start his gasser (CRRC 50 CC I think...but a chinese for sure). He was having some trouble getting it started but when it did, it would run briefly and then almost stop then run backwards for a few seconds. Since this is an electrronically timed ignition, how can this happen???
More curious than anything else!!

Default RE: Gasser Runs Backwards...??

I would say his timing may be too far advanced. That is the only time I have heard that this can happen.
