just wondering how a stock revo compares to a stock savage 25 as far as low end take off speed..?? is the revo geared a little to tall?? i know the savage is a big block, maybe not fair to compare, but i'v heard that a 2.5 t-maxx is as quick as a savage 25.. i like the revo and my friend has a savage 25 and i like the low end power it has..does anyone have both and maybe could help me?

the savage 25 is a very heavy truck, this is why is has suck a big engine. If tuned properly the revo should be quicker and handle better. The savage is more durable than the revo

that still has to be proven in my books not the speed department but the durability department, me and a couple of guys were at a construction site with a revo, t-maxx, and a savage and the only one that went home unbroken was the revo and i was beating the living daylight out of it. the savage went home with a twisted chassis and two bent shocks and the t-maxx went home with an engine problem. so in my experience i would have to say that the savage may be tough but in my books the revo will kill it any day [8D]

tore it apart mate the savvy has sheds more torque but my revo was faster it may just be the weight issue or if i had mines better tuned but i blew his @$$ apart u thinking about gettin one like great trucks easy worked on and a doddle to take things of for cleaning

i actually think the revo is that good that if u could marry it i would lol

I have both a revo and a savage ss with a mach .26
no comparison in the torque department
the savage flips so hard on the grass it almost land back on its wheels
the revo turns faster laps at the track
I dont like the stock traxxas engine
today I have an os .18 tm going in the revo seeking the bootom end power
I like both trucks but the savage takes alot more abuse

yes the savage has a 2-speed tranny. You should go with the revo IMO

i have a stock savage 25 and a stock revo and the revo whoops ***** on accelaration and a bit on top end IMO the revo feels more sensitive on the throttle.

My brothers savage beats my revo on the straights but the revo is alot better in the corners
