The savage is quite a bit stronger than the t-maxx IMO. I have had both. The t-maxx is easier to use with its ez-start though, and it can be made to be fairly tough. I would probably look into the revo over the t-maxx if you like the traxxas vehicles, but the savage is the best basher MT out there in my opinion....

When I was trying to figur out what to get I drove and worked on my buddies T-Maxx. I also drove his Revo and I thought they were nice. Have another friend at work who has a Savage and when I drove that I thought WOW! IMO the Savage is the hands down winner in durability. Has some pretty decent speed also. So I ended up getting the Savage for Christmas.

Hands down Savage.
I cant stand traxxas, especially the T/E Maxx line of trucks. Worst differentials, not durable, problem after problem.
With the Savage, the main problem is stripping spur gears, but if you tighten the motor bolts after every run, you wont have many problems.
Get the Savage.
