Spec Class?
My local hobby shop races spec class electric car touring races. I was hoping someone could define Spec class? Like rules or limits
Thanks,

RE: Spec Class?
Different tracks might have different meanings or rules for "SPEC" class racing. Usually it means there is a certain tire, battery and motor that is used for a SPEC class. We have a SPEC truck class, we all have to run the blue rubber tires, SPEC battery and a STINGER motor. The concept is to try and keep everyone equal as far as equipment goes. Usually SPEC motors, tires and batteries are relatively inexpensive with the hopes that more new racers will start there without a huge outlay of cash for equipment. Legends are similiar, although sometimes it's hard to get the correct parts and tires. Our local tracks tried to get a SPEC pancar class going but a lot of the racers viewed it as a newbie or rookie class. It's really far from that, when you are all limited to the same major components it makes you work harder on the setup of your car to get a bit of extra handling and speed.
Hope this helps a bit..
