Default Ballance Issues, Hangar 9 1/4 scale J3 CUB

I have just assembled a 1/4 scale Hangar 9 J3 CUB, right out of the box, no modifications, using a DLE 35RA engine.
My problem is, it will require 3.7lbs of nose weight to balance. this seems outrageous to me. reading other posts it seems nobody
else has had this issue. web site says weight should be 14-16lbs, I'm pushing 20lbs. thanks for your help

What method are you using to balance?
