I've run mine in the single digits and below.

Right now it's about 15 degrees outside, it can drop really, really cold!

If you wrap the cooling head in aluminum foil it should be fine.

I'm from canada!
i've had nitros running well below 0 fahrenheit. I just use a body shell with no holes cut into it.
When its that cold out, you can lean the engine waaay out without getting temps up, but its an easy way to wreck your engine because you starve it of oil. its really important to tune to smoke in those temps. hard to resist the temptaion though
Only problem when you get below about 20 F is taht plastic parts tend to shatter on any small impact, so jumping isnt a good idea. i had my CEN genesis out one day last winter, and it was about -5 or -10 F, and I took a huge jump off a snowpile and landed on pavement... Shattered all 4 lower arms. and the genesis has beefy arms!!

Haha I tried to get mine started the other day. I have an ofna lx comp, old glow plugs, old battery in the glow igniter, and I left my fuel outside all winter so far so that was cold. I wrapped the head with a sock and heated it up with a hair dryer for about 10 minutes. Took it outside and there is about an inch of fresh powder down on the ground and i was like yeah this is gonna be awesome! Nope! After about 40 pulls on the pull cord I decided to give up.. I dont know about you guys but nitro doesnt like me that much. In the summer when it was warm, I could never get the engine to run for more than one tank at a time anyway before i needed to let it sit so that I could start it again. Do you think that my engine might of been bad or am I just a noob. Its a force 26

bombers your problem is not nitro it's that force 26 it's junk right out of the box get rid of it. i had the same engine in a mbx the whole buggy was brand new and that engine is crap. put in just about ANY aftermarket 21 and run it all day long.

Before playing in the cold heat up your engine with like an embossing iron or hairdryer to bring up the temps it will make starting your engine a whole lot easier.

I wasnt sure about the cold temps either. I do snomobile and kinda tune my buggy in the same way. Usually cold is lean-warmweather rich. Atleast on a big sled. I thought If I was running my nitro outside I'd have to richen it up. Hey does altitude have much effect on the air intake on these cars? I guess I have never seen any jetting chatrs!!

Actually, engines run better in the cold. The air is denser, hence more fuel/air can get in. You just have to warm up the engines (slowly and thoroughly) before each run.
