Default Just received the "The Amazing Eyecam Extreme Eyewear Video Glasses"

Just got it in today. Very prompt shipping and only 1 small issue which as usual, RCToys was very quick to resolve.

I have hooked it up to a camcorder and looks like this will REALLY help center the IMAG shot. Will post later if the winds behave with a test run.

Here is a picture of the unit from their website.

The icuiti's are nice but cheaper, not in quality, but in price compared to this eyewear. I like the MicroOptical because it integrates with existing eyewear.

They do look a little like they come from a star trek convention :P
do you have to close the other eye to look at the screen?

Cool glasses...
Now all you need is a Bluetooth phone to plug into your other ear!
Dork all the way!

I had both eyes open...Maybe that was the problem. Seeing it from the ground up and then from the sky down and trying to fly was more information then my Brain could process, I got a little dizzy (well i'm always a little dizzy) and a killer headache. [:@]
But worst thing was everybody said I looked like a DORK... [&o]

I've been testing them today with flying and it does take a bit to get used to... most important thing to remember is you are still 95% of the time watching the DF from your eyes, not the screen. The screen is just to center your shots with a quick glance. Since the camera is so wide... you can not fly the DF with these or other glasses.... it's just not possible unless you are really high up and don't reallly care where you are.

They work fine and I'm happy with them.... it was a worthwhile purchase.

As I mentioned earlier I'm testing these units for a special application where I would need more then these two units... but I'm starting to think the DF is starting to lose ground on what I need it to do. I can't go into what that is... but I'm still interested in the microdrone. From their videos from pushing it around.. that is more what I would like to have on the DF....

When you start looking around there's a lot of 4 rotor copters/UAV's around, a lot of them look way more professional than the DF, but so do their prices!
I believe they are going to use them (microdrones etc.) on the big cattle ranches / stations out here for finding the cattle, at the moment they have to send a guy out in a fullsize helicopter, some of these places are vast.

Is that the topic I see off in the distance?
