Default HDX 450SE v3 Broken rotor blade

Hey,

I just got the hdx 450se v3 rtf version. Unfortunatly during first idle-up run it broke a rotor blade and got ugly from there. I got lucky and was missed by the blade when it pitched. The blade is carbon fiber and it literaly riped out of the blade grip. Three flights in normal mode to set-up bird, first run-up in idle up mode and wham. The blade that came apart literaly went across shop and stuck in wall insulation, 2nd struck tail boom and battery. Broken battery mount, bent main shaft, flybar, feathering shaft, tail boom and broken rotor blades. I will try and upload some pics of damage and blade grip with rotor blade eye loop and center cord still atached. I hope this isn't a problem with HDX blades. If anyone has any info on this it would be appriciated. Hopefuly it was just a freak thing.

Thanks

Yes,

I was checking to see where the bird was neutral lift and about 5-10 sec of idle up the rotor blade seperated at the grip. Scared the crap out of me. lucky the bird was at ground level and the battery was knocked out and killed the motor or i'm sure more damaged would of accured. I hope it was only a defective blade and not something else I am over looking.

Yep same thing happened to my sons HDXV3 carbons. On third flight Blewy mid air and only the wire was left. These are very dangerous blades and should not be used ever!! He was just hovering about 2 ft off the ground starting to land with a very mild throttle curve. Lost one grip, spindle, main shaft, Flybar. He hit throttle hold before it beat it self to death. As a note the cheezy 2.4 radio would not work out of the box and went into the trash. Great smooth helicopter though. Flys very well.
