Default Higher Capacity Batterys for PZ Planes?

I have 2 ParkZone electric planes, the BF-109 and the Corsair. Both planes came with the basic 1800 MAh 11.1v 3s lipos. I ordered the recommended 2200 MAh lipos as extras. My question is: can I go to a higher capacity lipo pack for longer flight times without changing out the stock motor and ESC?

The basic answer is yes. However, as with anything else there are a number of variables that need to be considered. For example, increasing the Mah rate also increases the weight of the battery. Thus, the energy required to fly will be more. It takes more power and power is expressed as P=IE. So even though you have more current available (e.g. 'I' goes from 1800 mah to say 2800 mah) you will draw more from the battery to overcome the added weight. This is just a basic, very basic example. Does this make sense?

As long as the voltage is the same, no problem.

You will have to deal with the physical size of the pack and the balance of the plane. As you change packs.
