Comp-Arf 3m Extra
I'm finishing up one of these for a friend and I can't believe the weight of this pig. It's tipping the scales at a tad over 43 lbs. The only thing different from stock was the addition of a TNT aluminum gear vs. the carbon one.
DA150
PEFA cannisters
SBW Rudder Servo tray
The rest is the usual stuff.
One servo per elevator half
Two servos per aileron
Two servos on the rudder.
Throttle and Choke servos
For an airplane that claims 35#-37# you gotta be kidding. Maybe if I left the motor out!
One wing panel is 2oz heavier than the other...not good.
I'm very grateful that I didn't buy it.
Oh, it's very beautiful...didn't want to leave this thread on a sour note.

A whole 2 Ounces????? Those Wings are Hugh man.
I watched one Fly with a similar setup and she weighted the same as your she was an animal. That plane has a very commanding presence.

43 is even heavy for a Super. I think the newer ones like mine with the wing tubes instead of spars are lighter. Mine is not together yet, but I have all the light stuff you can get, Carbon spinner, wing tube, cans, Kavan Light wheels, titanium tail wheel, Fromeco's, etc. I'm confident it will be under 40 easy, hope so anyway!!!

I like the Karvan wheels but at the weights we are talking I don't think they Will work for U especially on Asphalt.
The Yak 3.3M is my latest project and at 42lbs my target weight now it's just to much.

Hey Flyjets,
I have the 3.3 Yak (as well as the Super-X) and I hate to burst your bubble but the Yak is not goin to be any lighter than 45-46. Especially with a ZDZ210 which is about 2 lbs heavier than the DA-150 I am running. Mine is 45.5lbs with 13 8611s/DA-150/KS 1090s/Duralite Powerbox....that's it. YOu could do without the powerbox but than you add regulators and at least 3 matchboxes..not to mention the extra switch with the extra associated wire. Also the wheel spats are not on and there is no pilot/dash (yet). Basically 46lbs is about right. And there is no way to really loose weight.
