AeroWorks 150cc YAK-54, Project
Well, back in march, I was talk in to going to the Biggest R/C Swap Meet on the east coast, down in Perry, Ga. 1100 table , I pickup a 40% Carden Edge 540 and a AeroWorks 150cc Yak-54, and a couple other item, like a DX7s for $230.00, a lot of good deals, well I sold the Carden, to fund the YAK-54, the Yak needs a right wing and a engine cowl, well I posted wanted ads, three guys, saying they had wings, but all three guys fell thru, so I found a club member, to rebuild the right wing, AeroWorks is asking $450.00 plus shipping for the right wing, and not in stock, cheaper to rebuild it, here are some pics.

Looking real good, Ibet your getting anxious!
Iguess thats why I am limited to the 35%.. going up to 40%is a very large jump in overall cost..
Your wing seems to have been taken to the right person though
good luck with the rest!

RE: AeroWorks 150cc YAK-54, Project
Well after all this time I finally maiden the Big Yak, had a couple of issue, after checking the CG at the field, it shows tail heavy[X(], so I move the engine 1'' forward, it was still tail heavy, so I added a pound of weigh to the nose, and it check perfect, had to redo the throttle servo, no big deal, put the Big Yak together and turn on my DX7s radio and then the Yak, the aileron don't work, the matchbox were blinking, something was wrong, after pulling all the wiring out of the Yak, found a servo wire extension plug in backward, now the aileron work, it took a while to get the wires back in the fuse, ok, now everything works, I started at 2 pm and by 4 pm I was ready to fly the Yak, after charging up all three battery, the DA 150cc engine has been sitting around for a year and a half, hoping it will run again, but it started and ran just fine, with no issue, having my buddy at the field check behind me, found the rudder was going in the wrong direction, now it time to fly, it taxi down the runway so nice, pull the stick back at half throttle, and up she went, I was going to buy a DLE 170 for it this winter, but the DA 150 pull it with a let of power, so I will pickup another Da 150 this winter, the 31 X 10 prop was just right for this Yak, need to program more rudder with the Hitec digital programmer HFP-10, but I like this Aeroworks 150cc Yak-54, lands like a dream, don't like two piece landing gear, may build a plate for a one piece gear, for a plane I pickup for a $100.00, at the Perry, Ga. 1100 table swap meet, wasn't a bad buy, I put about $1500.00 in this Yak, to get it in the air, so if I crash it, the pain will be a lot less then other people out there . Thanks for watching.http://youtu.be/zxA8dwyWVa4
