SJN,
I do not know what the fastest jet out there is but I saw a video of a guy in Germany flying a small pink delta that he launched with a high start. It was the fastest thing I had ever seen.
The name of the Video is Jet uber Trebur and I think the pilots name is Niels Angriff. the video was taken in 2001 so who knows if you can get the plane or not.
I would go with a Bandit. SUPER FAST and looks sweet.

The most fun I had flying fast was with a Jet Model Products Firebird. Its big, fast and looks great in the air. One thing don't let it slow down.

Sung is right, that was a serious model! It was almost as fun to chase it around the sky with a P-120 powered Rookie. I would have the thing pinned to keep up, the Firebird would just leave it like it was standing still... at half throttle. Well what do you expect from a Oly powered bullet? That was some fun flying that day Sung!

Ditto on the JMP Firebird. Not only the top speed, but the acceleration rate of Sung's JMP Firebird was incredible. With the Oly from idle to full throttle, the plane seem to leap from point A to point B during mid-flight. Had to see it for yourself to believe it.

The fastest Jet i have seen was flown in Belgium a couple of weeks ago.
I am not sure what it was called but i think it was owned by the RCU Contributor called Sandor
If you see this post perhaps you could give photo's and details?

i believe the german guy,s went about 350mph, not sure tho,but don,t fly over 200mph at an ama field or around a lot of people please. it could have a bad effect for all of us if there was an accident. i,ve heard rumors about the ama wanting to limit power to weight or something stupid like that, which would not be too cool. but if you are not in usa i guess it won,t concern the ama.

Hi SJ

My Friend....[8D]

Who is it that wants the fastest jet......I think that I know...

But as I have been saying before....go for this thing. With a SimJet 700, for power. And keep et light....Then you will go fast.
And out of site....before you know it....

Yes, that is correct. Bert van Didden does fly this delta.

He's sure one of the fastest guys around the world - simply amazing how safe he does handle these 500 +++ kph speeds.

I do know the specs of the plane and the turbine but as stated before, Sandor Kruise should chime in here.

WOW! No doubt that delta is fast. Kinda reminds me of Mr. Matt's bandit blazing the skies a few years ago at the Fresno Jet Rally. Matt, chime in if you get a chance to see this video. Only you really know how fast your bandit was.

Thanks guys.....

So maybe a bandit is the answer. The firebird price is a bit steep

The delta in the vid above is extremely fast!! But my friend wants a kit, and something with retracts.

Midair in Tucson. Only 2 planes in the air, I hit a DF.

Not much left of my plane, the DF was in little pieces. I had about 450 flights on it I think, big fun.

Hey Matt, i remember you spending 2 hrs to repair a leaky fuel tank only to have a midair the next flight. It was another bandit i believe being flown by Dallas Matta.

Yeah I left the fuel vent plug on and my fueling pump exploded those $200 kevlar tanks :-)

Finally used a baby diaper material and CA to get the tanks repaired!!

Not a good day!

yes it is a experimental engine
it is a simjet 2300 rebuild on this delta wich i made the electronics for and tweaked a little the power (digitech A.T.C.U)
there is another thread somewhere where i almost went banned for because i was speaking of this engine and giving critics to another engine
however bert and our team fly this delta on many occasions througout europe
the trudo 11 is supposed to run at 120-122rpm,s however we push it to 126-127 without no problems just to see when the engine give,s up
this way i trust the product and will run absolutely 11 kilo,s of thrust! unlike others.
so it is almost ready for sale (if anyone want to be critical about the digitech trudo 11 engine make sure you do it here since unlike others i like critics
it makes me even do bether the next time) and i like when they are done in public and not behind my back
we want to break the world record of the fastest model plane
speed we measured until now are between 490-550kmh
the plane is fully autostarted , landing gear at a dry weight of 6 kilo,s dry
however we want to go faster then 600 kmh that is our goal we dont need a better engine we just need to redisgn a little the delta
i know speeds are dangerous but i think a another jet weighting 20 kilo,s at 250-300kmh is more dangerous then ours at 600 kmh
also we always fly safe! and away from public
even the world record flying will be done at a militair airport somewhere

regards

sandor kruise
