Impromptu Euro Build Thread, and question
As discussed before, some work had been done to this before I got it. I was never happy with the way the hatch sits on the fuse on the side it does not line up well. I believed this to be a problem with the install of the aft most former that holds the pipe. So I broke the former out, taped everything together, aeropoxy, let it set overnight and problem NOT solved. Anyone have a good solution for this?
My purple Euro never had this problem. Can I tweak the fuse with the rudder former to line it up?

Sean,
it is usaully the rudder former which needs to be adjusted to align the fuse to the hatch. Some shaving here and there to get the fit just right....

What size are the Cylinders for the gear doors and speed brake on the Euro? Are any these gonna work? I got these today in the mail, I could never tell from the pictures on Todd's site what dimensions his are. Or can someone point me in the right direction where I missed it?

RE: Impromptu Euro Build Thread, and question
Unfortunatly, i had the exact same problem without the B/H even installed. Right out of the box the alignment was bad. I installed the fin and B/H and then went up that seam adding a total of 8 4-40 screws to bring the seams back together. I know on mine it was the hatch that didn't fit correctly. The fuse was good along with the fin and B/H alignment. After adding the supports, is lines up good and is extremely strong.

Ya, I know the rudder former will tweak it, I just wasn't sure if it would tweak it enough to mate it. Sounds like it will. I still have some work to do on the rudder, but will probably have this portion of the work done tomorrow evening.

I got the same problem too.
Tried to solve it, but to do it I noticed that twisting the fuse in the aft to then glue to former was the solution.[&o]
Decided not to do it....the plane flies good, no problem with that at all.
When you put the ES on its gear....you'll not notice that
Good luck,
Miguel
