idle tuning problems
anybody got any ideas for me. i am new to this 2.5 . my last nitro was a rustler with a pro 15 (diffrent carb) now i got a tmaxx with a 2.5 . i have tried adjusting itto the best of my ability but it is still finiky.i got the high running pretty good it revs up pretty fast and trails some thin smoke . i set the low end mixture even like it said to. now the problem if i keep it revved up its fine but if i stop it idles very shortly then dies and then its horrible to get started again . it seemed like a low idle but i tried to turn up the idle screw and its bottomed out . also if this helps when i aquired this car it had obviuosly sat because i had to dissasemble the motor and remove old varnish just to get it to turn over but after cleaning the motor was in good shape internally. the carb was also stuck and i soaked it in fresh fuel and it cleaned up well. might my carb be junk?or has someone seen this before?

RE: idle tuning problems
i would think that you're running a little too rich, so when you stop and it sits on idle that it's just flooding itself and that might explain the difficult restart. That problem sounds familiar to me so i just leaned it out a bit.
