.15 ame norvel engine is always quiting on me...
Hi guys,
I have a little satan with a norvel .15 on it. Every time I fly though the motor cuts out. I've tried leaning riching for a whole after flight after flight non-stop to no avail. Then I tried taking the muffler off, there is no difference, the needle valve is almost al the way out, like 1/2 a turn away!!
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
LeBlanc

Checked the fueltank are at right place or designed for centrifugal force since fuel will move to side there the engine can not pick up fuel..

If your NV is almost all the way open to get a run I would guess that you have a blocked ( or partially blocked) spray bar and / or fuel tank tubes ..... give the fuel tank tubes and the engine's spraybar a good 'rod-out / flush out' and also make sure your spraybar's fuel jets (or jet) are totally open and clean.

It is the junior satan, my mistake ... Now I have fully cleaned the whole spray bar system, fuel tank, tubing ect... it's a little better. 4 1/2 turns away but runs the same, although I can fly it for a whole tank now, but if I do any stuns with it, wingover, loop, anything to change the attitude, the motor cuts.... hmmm I think that I might be the lenght of the fuel tank, it's 4 inches back and maybe the motor can't draw the fuel that it needs...
Any help?
Thanks

Has the motor been stripped lately? I'm not familiar with your engine, but the liner fitted wrong way around will give those symptoms. The exhaust port is the one higher than the transfer port. You can check through the exhaust port with the muffler off. If you can see any of the piston at B.D.C. your liners back to front......John

I had a buddy with a similar problem this weekend, make sure there is a piece of fuel tubing between the needle valve and the nipple, it comes with a little, white silicone sleeve that he had taken off. It leaks around the nipple otherwise.

Your tank is too far back to work on suction or muffler pressure. If you can't move it forward, you probably will have to go to a bladder pressure system to get a good run.
