9X PCM programing question
Hi Danny,
I have the following atachments:
Rudder to rudder
front wheel to an aux channel
and landing gear to aux channel.
I would like to desactivate the front wheel steering when the gear is up, but the rudder should still work.
How would you do it?
Regards,
Jose.

RE: 9X PCM programing question
One way of achieving this is to......
Receiver Channel Allocation :-
Rudder = Rudder
Aux2 = Nose Wheel Steering
Gear = Gear
9X. System Menu - Device Select
* Select Mix Switch to operate the Gear Channel ( Mix Switch is now the new Gear Switch)
* INHibit Aux2 channel (To make it available for the Nose Wheel)
9X. Function Menu - Mix 3
* Mix Rudder -> Aux 2. 100% each side of Neutral for Pos0
* Select mix ACTivated by Mix Switch.
When Mix Switch ( ie New Gear Switch) is to the rear (Pos0), the Gear is down and the nose wheel steers (Mix is Active)
When Mix Switch is to the front (Pos1), the gear goes up and the nose Wheel steering is INHibited ( Mix deactivated)
Hope that helps you out.

RE: 9X PCM programing question
Just another thing.
I have a friend with a JR X 388 Radio, and he wants it to be completely revised (updates, digital trim saving doesn´t work, etc)
Is it possible to send it somewhere for complete revision?
Best regards,
Jose.

RE: 9X PCM programing question
Unfortunately there is no upgrade path for the X388. JR do not really offer upgrade paths for their transmitters. Saying that, wrt to the 9 series (9X / 9XII / 9303), JR have provided a limited upgrade for those users who bought the first 9X's to bring it up to the 9XII standard.
Reason for this is that when a set comes out, samples are sent round the world to the main Importers/Distributors for them to have a play with, write the Manual etc. When the 9X first came out, it met what the local Japanese market wanted but in all honesty wasn't that much of an improvement ( in terms of functionality) over the 3810 (8103) and so Horizon rejected it. JR then worked with Horizon to improve the set where possible. This ended up as JR releasing the 9303 for the US market. JR being somewhat intelligent, realised that they could release the 9303 elsewhere as the 9XII ( with a slight alteration in the firmware).
So we ended up with the 9X, 9303 then the 9XII. Obviously there is a point where people where still buying brand new 9X's at the same time as the 9XII were being released. Some not very happy bunnies ! So JR said that there will be an upgrade path so that owners of the 9X could upgrade to the 9XII at a later stage.
But in general there is no upgrade path for JR transmitters.

RE: 9X PCM programing question
Very much doubt it as it was only available from JR (via its distributors) for limited time period.
I can't remember how long it was available for via MacGregors but from memory it was for about a year (ish)

RE: 9X PCM programing question
Guess I"m just getting old but I simply cannot find how to delete a programming mix.
Read the manual and it shows how to, but I can't see how to delete it, not just inhibit it, can someone please point me in the right direction.
Cheers,
Brian
