Mine died as well. I have a cheapo 280 arriving today and I'll let you know how it goes tonight. Can't remember the model or make.

I also have a brushless on the way :-)

Well, got my motor, it is a Zubehor Motor Permax 280BB and it has plenty of power, is the same size as the stock motor, 20g heavier, but MUCH more powerful. Has replaceable brushes, just like the bigger ones. Flies Sweet

Whacked it in, flew in my garden, and then.... the damned tail motor pinion flew off in long grass!!! Can't fly for another week now

Default Posible low cost replacement

I beleive the guys on this side of the pond are using the motor from the GWS 100 series drive system available here http://www.areomicro.com under brushed motors the GWS 280 with the 10 tooth pinion info at R/C groups under Micro-Heli's

Correction it's the motor from the 300 series still available from aeromicro and evidently a low cost altenative to brushless the motor is the GWS 370
