Default Digital air gauges??

I have an old CAI Raptor that I bought from GordonMC (thanks again Gordon, it's the sweetest flying jet I own!) and in there, Gordon installed digital air gauges, they are the same size as the SMC ones that we all use, but have a small LCD screen on them. Gordon said he got them from Century Jets years ago but that they don't offer them anymore. I have searched the internet high and low but can't find anything like them. Does anybody know where they might be available. They are great to use as you can see any air loss on the readout as opposed to the analogue SMC gauges where it's got to drop 5 lbs or so before you really notice a loss.
Thanks in advance
Jeremy

yep got them...

they turn on as soon it detects air , they turn of after 5 minutes of detecting no air

downside : you need to deplete air completely to turn them of..
price about 15 euro,s

I looked at that unit for a while yesterday actually, but I really like the small round ones, may end up going this route in the end, but I'll see if I can find the round ones first.

I bought one and I think it's a flash bit of kit for the price.

Just FYI - you will need a male-to-male servo extension to power it.

How much power does it require? Could it run off of a single cell lipo for example (like the small 110mah 3.7V eflite ones for size and weight consideration?)

Todd had told me the voltage range for it, but I can't find it now. Best to PM or email him. I have it connected to a 4.8v nimh, and it works fine, but I', not sure about 3.7v.

Glad to see that they are still available - they're great little units. The fact that the readout is digital, means that you can much more easily see when the pressure is dropping little by little.

Only problems I've ever had with these, were[ul][*] Leaking where the nipple joins the plastic. Easily remedied with some glue.[*] Battery dropping out of the side-slot. Easily addressed with a piece of tape.
[/ul]
I was bumed when CJM stopped stocking them. A while ago I found some French site that had the gauges, but they never responded to my emails so I finally gave up on finding any more.

Hi Gordon same here

you also need to glue them inside a piece of wood to prevent them from comming apart.

the battery slot is fixed with a small piece of rubber to prevent it from comming out.

We tested several of the Airpower units pulled randomly from inventory, all were within +/- 5psi of actual pressure.
Two standard SMC gauges weigh in at .8oz or 20gr, the Airpower dual digital unit is 1.4oz or 35gr.

Mine seems dead-on against the analog gauge on my inflator.
