Default RD Logics Dual Pipe, what u know about it??

I just made an impulse buy over the weekend, I bought a RD logics Dual pipe for my T Maxx 2.5. Picked it up for $65. I ran it yesterday and the sound is crazy loud, but pretty cool. I like that it's louder than my buddies buggy. Also, I definately noticed an increase in acceleration...but top end started cutting out. It was running cool all day, so it wasn't over heating.

Now, I've been reading the forums on this pipe and one mentioned 30% fuel mix would help, but I wanted to see what you all think.

Should I ace the pipe (A.K.A-get rid of it)?
Do I get the 30% fuel after I've been running 20%?
Or do I say F'it and step up to a different pipe all together? If so, please suggest one. Thanks!

I will try 30% fuel mix next, thanks! Will this change mess with the motor at all because they usually say to stay with the same % you broke it in with?

My roomate got that pipe, he threw it away after having it a month because it killed his bottom end and didnt give the motor enough back pressure to supply fuel or bottom end. Its a piece of crap in my eyes, but if it is what you want and works good for you then more power to ya :-)

I thought about getting one of those for my Revo when I first got it. After seeing all of the bad reviews I bought the Traxxas pipe.

I was considering modding this pipe. May as well I figure. I read that someone added some fine steel wool in this pipe for the back pressure issue and it fixed it right up. Also, I was considering cutting off the long tails and making them come down just past the bumper to avoid damaging the tails or bending them during wipe outs.

it look soooo pretty the way it is, but i want functionality over looks.

Let me know how that works out for u because I'm already putting my dual on Eaby It hesitates when accelerating, so I assume it's because of the back pressure issue. I am curious to see how the CVEC works though, keep me posted.

Hey guys, just got it today Looks pretty good quality, I think the guy I bought it from is pissed at me though Says "Our price $69.99!", I bought it for $28 shipped, maybe thats why he shipped it so slow Anyway, the pipe looks good, you can take the tips off if you want but I'm confused about 2 things. The instructions dont mention anything about adjusting the piston inside and I dont want to break it so I didnt try using too much force to take it apart. I will need to bore out some of the exhaust header cause the stock TRX has a 13mm exhaust outlet whereas my Sirio .18 has a bigger bore coming in at 14mm. Need to ask my friend for his dremel.[] Anyway the other thing I'm confused about is that the pipe come with a hole for the presure line but the thing is, its a hole! Wont it just pop off during a jump or whatever??? To everyone that has this pipe installed please help!!!! Thanks, Tom.

I think you need the pressure nipple for the pipe try to take the one off of your stock pipe it should thread out and try to thread it inot the new pipe or go to your lhs and buy one....
