ansmann vapor
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; ">please forgive me if i have placed this question in the wrong section.
recently bought a pair of Rc nitro cars cheap from a friend have become hooked on the sport but getting spares for my cars is becoming difficult.
looking to buy a new 1/8th scale buggy (£300ish budget) and have seen the "ansmann vapor". love the looks of this car and the price seems reasonable.
just wondering if anyone owns or has owned one of these (or any other ansman products) and could give me a basic review.
failing that recommendations of other 1/8th scale nitro buggies RTR for £300
thanks in advance</span>

RE: ansmann vapor
Hey.
What will you want to be doing with the cars? Recommendations will differ if you want to bash around, or if you want to start racing it etc
From my knowledge.... Ansmann aren't one of the "main stream" makes, so quality etc may be a little bit worse than that of a different make, like Hobao, Hpi, Losi etc. I do know that another car they do (the Ansmann Virus) is a replica of the well proven Hyper 7, so parts will be interchangeable etc. The hyper 7 is a great buggy, I have had it for 2 years and really bashed it hard and have had nothing break. If its doing huge jumps, parking lot bashing or running up and down the street you want then I recommend this car. yes... its getting a bit outdated, but I see part supply going on for a very long time.
I car I would suggest is the updated version, the "Hyper 7 Black", they have also released a Hyper 7.5, but I've no idea what this is like.

I would say any one of these two buggies will do you great for bashing, but if your looking for racing then I'm afraid I can't help you there. With the extra money saved from getting a hyper 7 black, you could invest in a starter box which will really make life easier for you if your not into pull starts etc.

RE: ansmann vapor
Agree with crowdie.
As far as ive seen the ansmanns nitro range are usually pretty good for starter cars i would avoid there BL line up as there seem to have some teething problems so far[]
Part wise your pretty set in the UK for ansmann too ive used alot of there parts on different RCs ie motors, shocks etc and they all seem good value for money, currently using virus shocks on my pede now
Ive seen a few viruses bashing and they seem sturdy and have a nice speed when setup properly.
