28.5 X 12 3 blade mejzlik, is it enough??
I am putting together a 40% aviation models Yak with a Kroma 180I engine, do you think a mejzlik 28.5 X 12 3 blade will be enough prop for this plane & engine ?? All you experienced guy's chime in please, I'd hate to buy this & it not be enough.
Any help would be appreciated

Some how I doubt it when you consider that Kroma recommends the following
Recommended propellers: 31x11, 32x10(6000rpm),33x8,33x10, 34x10
28" seems to be rather small after looking at those numbers!

It will spin the snot out of that prop, but here is my concern. The yak is big and draggy, 3w 157s pull it ok, not ballistic but ok. The 180 will be a little better. However, with the big round cowling the 3 blade might not be effecient enough for good performance, I would look at a 33x10 2 blade.

That propeller will force you to manage the throttle better.
You can rip it in straight and level flight but not vertical.
So if you can manage the throttle, then it will be good.
It will be a lighter loading on the engine, so it should be able to respond very quick to throttle changes.
