Default A Little FYI on Raido Noise

I just want to let some of you guys know I came accrose some really bad raido interfearance on my 540t Edge with a Cheap TGY 52cc Hobbyking Motor.

As I was just trying this motor out on this bird (not sure if I like the motor set up or not) anddid not install a Opto Kill Swich.

What I did was install the spark controler up front by the motor. Ran a servo exstender to a "Cheap On/Off Swich" From Hobbyking, then put the 4 cell reciver pack next to the 5 cell servo reciver pack.I did not have any of theSpark controler set up running next or into the reciver.

But the Cheap On/Off Swich acctully made all my control surfacesmove while the motor was running, and Im not talking a little but full up and down elevatormovements.

Im just glade I noticed it on the ground before I put the bird up.

Doesn't that engine use the same Rcexl ignition that many other Chinese engines also use .... with great success. Why should the 52 be any more prone to noise than any other engine using that ignition?

i wouldnt blame the motor ( not that I think they are any good) but it sounds like you have a setup problem....

First get rid of the cheap switches, and see if you got what you paid for.
I doubt the TGY has RCexl ignitions.

I can't speak for all of these engines but the one example I have viewed here in my city certainly does have the Rcexl ignition. After all, they probably had to put at least one reliable component on the engine though the carb looks to be the standard Chinese Walbro clone.
