Default Anyone have a GP Patty W/ G45????

Hey all, This is my first giant scale plane, and first gasser also. I know most of the post's in here guys seem to love the DA or ZDZ 50's but I dont have the $ for those. I picked up a G 45 for a song, and I would like to here from anyone who has this combo. I have a buddy who has a Patty with a Moki 2.10. With his mount and muffler he's only a few oz more than mine should be.I know that Moki isnt a gasser but ???? I dont know thats why I'm asking you all. Thanks, JEB

My first gas plane was a WM extra with the G45 and I really liked it. It was unforgiving being so heavy though. It really bit me a few times. I miss that model and now just built a GP PW with a DA50. Got one flight last week and should fly tomorrow. It flew very different than the WM G45 combo, almost like it was on a light glow engine. You will have fun with it just don't get it too slow and watch that is can snap on you.

If you got it for a good price, call CH an get there electronic conversion for it and you will have a good engine for that plane. it will drop close to a pound off the weight. The conversion cost about $130.00 and just bolts on with no problems.

Hi,
My G45 has CH ignition and is lighter than stock.
It is supposed to have more power too.
22x10 Bolly @ 7100+ RPM
22x10 Menz ultra @ 6800+ RPM
That rpm puts it in the fat part of the torque curve and I get great performance.
Amsoil series 2000 racing oil @ 50-1
Easy starts too!
Thanks
John
