Hitec Aluminum Servo Arms
I am building a Great Planes 1/3 scale Extra 330. I purchased 9 Hitec digital servos (5625, 5645 and 5925’s) that I will be using for it. 2 on each aileron, 2 on the rudder, and 1 on each elevator half. I also purchased the Hitec programmer. Very nice! Anyway, without getting into the Hitec vs. everyone else’s servo discussion (my experience with them has been excellent), this is my first model of this size. My biggest previously was a Midwest Extra with a ST3250. I’m rigging the controls with all the recommended quality stuff. Rocket City horns and ball links, Hangar 9 Pro-Links, etc. Finally my question – the Hitec servos came with pretty nice looking aluminum servo arms. But when I read everyone’s posts, and look at all the giant scale websites, I see mention of every type of servo arm brand, including SWB, Hangar 9, and many others, but no mention of Hitec’s. Even in some cases where guys were using Hitec servos. Is there anything I should know about the provided servo arms? Are they OK to use? Thanks for your input.

The Hitec arms are fine there just a little short for GS 3D setup's. If you drill and tap them to 4-40 your all set. You may find you need to use longer arms in some applications to obtain the needed throw.
SWB and Air Wild have CNC units available that are very nice.
