1/4 Scale Lazer: 1.08 vs FS120
I am ready to mount an engine in the Lanier Lazer 200. The 1.08 is recommended but I have heard that a FS120 would be a better choice. Please let me know if you own a Lazer and have a recommendation.
Aslo, looking for either motor.
Thanks

It looks like you want to go glow,if that is your choice then the ys 120 .
more power, bigger props and pressurized fuel system.
My former ys with 30% apc 17x6 @ 9500 was awesome on a 12lbs or less aircaft.
epc.

1/4 Scale Lazer: 1.08 vs FS120
Anderbad,
I have owned two Lanier 1/4 Lasers: the first was powered with an ASP 1.08 (not as strong as OS 1.08) and it was purely delightful to fly; the second was powered with a Magnum 1.20 2 stroke and it was a delight to fly...plus! The 1.20 is surely more than enough engine to fly the plane, but if you adjust your flying style to half throttle take offs and reserve full throttle only for verticle...you will like it, too.

I have been flying one for 7 years with the OS 1.08 and could not be more satisfied. It flys at 1/4 throttle and will really rip at full, used only for all out vertical. I use an APC 16x10 and it pulls as hard as my ST 2500. I think this a perfect combination
