There are none available at this time. The only ones I know of that were made were built about 5 years ago by Performance International. You could check with them , they now go by the name Blackhawk Hobbies but I have heard they have a somewhat questionable reputation. I have a 56 inch tunnel I bought from them years ago. I was not too happy with the quality of the hull when I got it but at the time it was my only choice . I believe their outboards had problems with gear failure and they even switched over to cable drives at the last.

I posted a picture of a gear drive outboard I built using the lower unit off of an old kanellos outdrive. It even has a clutch to allow it to idle for easier launching . I still want to build a scale cowling for it when I get the time.

There are some people that are building outboards similar to mine using the new more streamlined lowers from RCM and MHZ outdrives but these are all custom built one off units.

Thanks rcollecter
I like your outdrive. I talk to Chris at blackhawk and he said "the problem was taking care of".. I've been trying to get a hold of Yony at amps and he is not answering my emails about the amps so I will keep looking for now thanks for your help Donnie

About three or four years ago I Talked to tony at amps about his gas outboards. He told me he was close to releasing them at that time . He said he was trying to get some problems he was having ironed out at the foundry that was doing his castings but he was close . Shortly after that I noticed he was selling all of his prototypes on ebay and you don't hear much of him now. He had a nice gas tunnel that he sold maybe 6 months ago at jim's boat dock. If you do a search there you will find lots of old posts about gas outboards.
