I have a 11 x 2 Kyosho motor and the brushes were good for about 10 runs, ok for 5 more, and then the next few after that were almost pointless. They may have lasted longer if I ran a smaller pinion gear. But as I have learned, that is the downside of low turn mod motors.

The Orion Revolution motors advertise extended life from their brushes and a couple of reviews I read seemed to back that up. They don't really perform their best until 3-5 runs into it.

A run would be until the battery pack pack dumps - usually about 5-10 minutes of run time for me depending on the terrain. So I may have gotten an hour of run time from my 12 x 2 before I gave it to my hobby store for a com cutting and brushes.

I just read somewhere in one of those RC Car mags recommends that since races only go 5 minutes, you should only run your vehicle about that long and then pack it in even if you have some juice left. They advised against extending the run time because the last few minutes of the run are when the wear and tear occur.

I have tried to do that before, but I always want to get the most of each run.

wow thats not very much... are there P-94 brushes in the motor your buying? i think those are supposed to last a little bit longer[&:] but that would become very costly to buy one of those.... it also depends on what type of batterys you have/

and i have nicd 1400 mah batteries
