I think that is just the wrong pic that chief posted, it says it is the CHP Cap-X, or they simply put a different scheme on the Cap-X.

I think that is the plane that used to be sold by RCSuperstore.com. There is a review [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article_display.cfm?article_id=422]HERE.[/link] It was essentially a Cap-X with an Alitalia scheme.

It looks like Chip is selling the plane direct for the same price, I don't know what color scheme. This is a very good price on a nice plane.

yes I have to agree, mine flies really nice. The covering leaves a bit to be desired but I can overlook that

If you're right, it's a good buy. I have the RC SuperStore version and love it !!!

So the specs of a 73" wingspan etc are correct? Huh, I fly the older 80" H9 one with that scheme, and it's a great plane. One of the best flying planes I've ever flown, and the most stable in high alpha I've ever seen. No snappiness in this plane.

Chip may have an Alitalia scheme, but that pic that Cheif Aircraft is using is the old Hangar 9 pic from their ads. I've got that exact pic on my computer from Hangar 9 ads, a couple years ago.

I just ordered one about 30 minutes ago - the alitalia scheme was what finally made me pull the trigger. the older shattered scheme was what was keeping me from buying @ $249. $209 with the Alitalia, that I can't say no to.

I was Quoted $35 to 71291 in Northern Louisiana. $245 shipped. I called my order in to make sure they knew I wanted the Alitalia, Dana said he liked that scheme better himself, and that he feels that this scheme won't be as prone to peeling like the shattered scheme.

I wonder how well the cowl will match. If you look at the review here on RCU of the RCSuperstore CAP (same plane, I think), it doesn't match too well. But, what the hell, for $245, you can't be too picky. I ordered one too.

Selling R/C products is not Chip's primary source if income. He may be out working for a living at the moment.

I have been looking at this plane for so long now. And now I can finally say that I have one on the way!!!!! Man I am so pumped right now!!!! I am unlike alot of people, I actually like the new scheme- it definatly is diffrent. But I am not sure what motor to use. I am between the OS 160 and the DA 50.
So I have a question for you guys: If I went with the DA 50, would it make the plane that much better???? I think having gas would be so cool having all that torque but the weight savings of the 160 and the fact that O.S's are great motors (at least I have always had a great experience with them). I need something to push me over the edge here guys. I love having problems like this!!!

I'm sort of in the same boat - I have a Brison 2.4 in a plane, and a brand-new Brillelli 46cc sitting on my desk here. I'm having a really hard time figuring out which one to dedicate to the Cap-X I have ordered. The Yak the 2.4 is in weights 15.05 lbs RTF, and I'm thinking that the 46 would be a better match for it, of course the laziness factor kicks in and tells me that I wouldn't have to deal with mounting a new engine in the Yak if I would just leave it alone, and put the 46 in the Cap. My estimate is that the Brison and the brillelli are in the same weight range RTF, with the Brillelli having a slight power advantage.

Well after some thought and then me and Diablo Boy have been PM'ing each other about it- and I am going with the 1.60. What a Great motor though. Probably going to put one of those Perry v20 vibration pumps on there (so simple and cheap!). Yep things are coming together now !!!!!!!!!!!!![8D]
