I have found that a cardboard tube from paper towels or any other tube makes a great board to mix 2 part epoxy. Just cut it to you needed size and throw it out when your done

Even better are the poly plastic tops from food containers. Once the epoxy hardens, just flex the lid and the epoxy will come off.

I use dixie cups and sticks from a box of economy grade craft sticks to do the mixing...works great for me, though I'm going to have to try that poly top suggestion

There was just a multi page thread on this a few days ago.

The "plastic" lids from coffee cans and margerine tubs seem to be best (for me). I get all my epoxy mixers from coffee shops. The wooden stirrers work best. But the plastic ones are OK.

I use a beer or soft drink can for mixing epoxy.

Brake the opening ring off, rinse and dry, turn the can up-side-down and mix the epoxy in the bottom cup.

When you are finished discard or recycle.

I stock up on paper mixing cups whenever I go to Wendy's for lunch. Just look near the Ketchup pump.......

I don't use epoxy as much as I used to, with the advantages of CA, but I use the card stock that comes as junk mail. Lay a bead of Type A, and a bead of Type B alongside, mix well with a small cheap screwdriver, and apply to the airframe. You can scrape the dry epoxy off the screwdriver and use over and over. Old greeting cards, birthdays, father's day, etc. work well too.

Can't get much cheaper than that! At last, a use for junk mail!

you guys make it so much work.. find a scrap piece of paper and a flat head screwdriver, put epoxy on the paper paper, mix with flathead screwdriver, apply with flat head screwdriver. it as easy as that, the dried epoxy comes off the screwdriver with a razor in a single pass.
