Default Whats A Good Gas Engine For 1/4 Scale

WANT TO START FLYING MORE GAS ENGINES BUT CANT AFFORD SOME OF THE REAL EXPENSIVE ONES IVE SEEN. LOOKING FOR AN ENGINE THAT WILL FLY A 1/4 EDGE OR CAP WELL AND BE AFFORDABLE TOO. I DONT NEED SOMETHING THAT WILL BE A ROCKET BUT WOULD LIKE SOMETHING THAT WOULD HAVE GOOD VERTICAL AND AMPLE POWER TO PULL OUT OF MOST STICKY SITUATIONS. MORE THAN LIKELY I WILL HAVE TO GO TO A USED ENGINE BUT IS THERE ANY NEW ENGINES THAT ARENT TOO BAD ON THE POCKET BOOK? ANYTHING WOULD BE APPRECIATED..

THANKS :spinnyeye

Default gas engines

The poulan 46 conversion by RC ignition comes in at around 3 lbs with electronic ignition and performs right close to the BME 44 in power and is quite cheaper than any of the others in price. There is one in the engines for sale that is new for 300.00

These guys really know their stuff and they can provide complete motors or conversion/upgrade parts. Look em up.

I have one of their homelites on my Ultra Stick and it runs like a scaleded dog.

The MVVS line of gas engines can handle planes up to 25 lbs. They are very smooth running, powerful and dependable. They fit in narrow cowls like any glow engine, and have the carb up front.
Check out the data on my web site.
