Default Glow Plug Help

If the coils are broken on the glow plug does that mean the engine is running too rich or lean? It also looked a little white?

The coils are broken means you need a new plug, but the white color means it is too lean.

Default RE: Glow Plug Help

If the coil is broken and the plug is a ash white those are both indicators that you are running it lean. The excess heat is what broke the coil on the glow plug. Richen both needes and hope that you didnt do any damage. How long have you been running it like this, if it was just 2 or 3 minutes then you probably didnt do a whole lot of damadge but if you ran it 5+ minutes then you probably did some damage do the engine.
