My "Colibri"-project
Just thought I`d post some pics of my scale offshore project "Colibri", that was driven by Didier Pironi back in 1987. Hope you like it.[)]
Just now I`m looking for a twin drive setup that fits the boat. I have a MH$ drive, but that`s too big. Also I`ve found out that the Kanello is even bigger... Then we have the RCM-drives... But I can`t find out where to get them??? Anyone???
BTW: The boat is 61" long.[8D]

RE: My "Colibri"-project
He-he.... Thanks!
Norwegian-made by Mr. Leif Rasmussen, and only the third or forth hull molded of this boat since he made the molds in the late 80`s. He`s got no web site, and only makes hulls when he feels for it.
Since the norwegian krones is so strong these days vs. the $, the hull would cost about $800 today. (That`s why we norwegian buy ALOT from the US nowadays).
I can ask him when I meet him on Saturday if he`s interested in making a hull for you.
Here`s a pic of the "real thing". And belive me; it was WILD! I saw it win in Arendal, Norway in -87, just 7 days before the tragic accident that killed all 3 in the boat.

RE: My "Colibri"-project
I`m trying once more to hear if anyone knows of some steerable out drives that would fit this boat. I`m looking for a twin drive that gives the correct (or close to) apperance. I have a MH$ drive, but that`s a little too big. I`ve found out that the Kanello-drive is even bigger... Then we have the RCM-drives that I know nothing about (measurments?). And I can`t even find out where to get them??? Heeeeeeelp....!

That is a very nice looking boat you have there.
The RCM & MH$ drives are close in size,. The RCM is a little smaller, but not by much .
As far as I know no drive small can handle the power of a stock Zenoah. I could be wrong though.
The only one that would know of any other drive would be Matt ( Justaddwata ) PM him or maybe he will chime in .
