Default ENYA 1.55 R - Blown Cylinder Head Cover

Twice now I've have this engine blow a hole in the cover. At the same time it has sheared off the valve locker screw. The first time I thought it was a fluke. But now I figure there must be something wrong. Can anyone suggest what might cause this?

TIA

If you're talking about the rocker arm cover, you must be seriously over revving it.

Yes, it is the rocker arm cover. You may be right. But I've always leaned it out then backed off two or three clicks on the needle valve to try to stay on the rich side. But perhaps not enough.

A larger prop would fix it better.

Jerry:

You could use the Saito FA-150 rockers and adjuster screws, never seen one if them fail. Of course to adapt them you'd want to use all the rest of the Saito engine too.

Haw.

Seriously, the Enya is a good engine, you must be mistreating it in some way to have the repeat failure, and most likely you don't have enough prop on it as hobbsy said.

Bill.
