Default is this possible??

my nephew is in hs and he has to do a project, he wwanted to do something with rc cars that is related to the enviroment, he was thinking of making something that purifies the smoke that comes pout of the tailpipes so that it is more enviroment friendly is there any wway that could be done and if so is it achivable by a 10th grader

I dont think so, if there were something like this our green house gasses would be down tenfold as they would be on pretty much every car, truck, SUV out there.

what if you did a diesel conversion on an RC engine and use bio-diesel fuel to run it? just an idea.

hey thats really a good idea, it would be something like a community and enviroment saver thing right, where would i get bio-diesel from though and would i still use the same pipes and how would i do it, i am planning on using a brand new trx 3.3 engine for it, thanks for the help in advanced btw can u pm me for more info

There haven't been any exhaust purifying attempts made with nitro engines that I've seen, so you would be entering the unknown. As for diesel, not sure if you know this but the diesel converted engines run on hobby grade diesel, so I'm not sure how that would work out with bio-diesel, but it would definitely make for a great project, not to mention may come of use in the hobby world since bio-diesel can be made at home and there are advantages to converting to diesel such as longer run times and more torque.

You can run these engines on pure alcohol and castor oil mix. Both of these ingredients are non toxic. Because there is no nitro in fuel you have to remove all shims and run a hot plug. I know someone that runs his son's maxx on E85 pump fuel with some synth oil added.
