Default Help me stop the leak at the canister

DLE 55 with canister muffler that came with the Pilot Yak in a package deal(I bought it from the original owner and I understand that TBM had a package deal that included the engine/canister).I have been running the engine on the ground and noticed tonight that there is a lot of oil leaking from the silicone connector.Just wondered if a more flexible connector more like the one from my glow fuel days that we used on tuned pipes would work better.I know that the spring clamps could be replaced by auto hose clamps. Also,I've read about some guys using some high temp compound to make a better seal.Would that be the best solution? Thanks for the help.

Default RE: Help me stop the leak at the canister

I used high temp silicon locktite (RED) and hose clamps this seemed to stop all my leaks. When I put the spring clamps on I didn't think they would seal the stiff tubing and I was right. Good luck.
