Just use common sense on where you use it and you'll be ok. I see folks running aluminum things like battery straps, thats just dumb.

I don't like aluminum unless its needed but I love it on rear hubs, knuckes, and front castor blocks. Anywhere else besides 1/8 towers, toe blocks and such is a waste. It will just transfer more energy to one part and snap that. I just like to stay with plastic for the ease and price.

I'll second that! all 4 corners of the car are enough to add strength but not too much weight.

RE: ALUMINUM FOR RACING?!
man.. my rs4 was almost 100% alloy... yes it looked awesome but few things...
1. it weight more atleast 2 lbs difference cuz the differentials weights a lot more then the plastic ones..
2 when u crash plastic breaks or might sustain the crash but alloy bends.. and to put it straight again it wont ever be the same
i tell you from personal experience... i crashed miens and had to spend a lot of money in parts the front suspension arm bent real bad the hub and knuckle as well.. plus the base that holds the differential was damaged too..
if u gonna race and use alloy it takes couple more secs for it to develope the speed due to the weight.. i went back to plastic is more light more cheaper as well

I don't know about your car, but on my GT2, the stock parts are steel, and I'm pretty sure aluminum is lighter.

RE: ALUMINUM FOR RACING?!
i think that i you want a shelf-queen go alum.
if you want a basher, go alum and/or plastic (but a higher strnger grade if possible)
and if you want to seriously get into racing, plastic but make shure its a higher grade.

i would say plastic cause its cheaper and weights less but if your looking for real weight loss go for
carbon fiber
