Anyone on the list owns a Cessna from Wendell Hostetler? I would like to build one of the Cessna's (150/152, 172) but would like some input on these planes first. Any information would be grealty apreciated.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi,
I used to kit Wendell's 150, easy to follow plans, quick builder, great flyer. If you want an easy flying giant scale model the 150 would sure fit the bill.

Hostetler draws a very fine plan. Even if this is a first attempt at scratch building, you will have no problems. I strongly recommend you order the accessories well in advance of starting to build. Hostetler's suppliers offer superior quality products, but the lead time is rather long on some parts, particularly the strut nose gear. Ron at Ron's gear does a beautiful job for the money. It is worth every penny spent, but takes some time to get. Check with Ron for his current lead time. The other accessories are usually delivered within a month or sooner. If you build it, you won't be sorry.

Cessna 152
Attached is a photo of my Cessna 152 from
Hostetler plans.
It's powered with a G-62 with CH Ignition.
Most of the time I fly it at half or 1/3 throttle.
This photo is from this years Scale Nats where I flew it
in advanced fun scale to 5th place.
The plane is easy to fly and handles windy conditions
pretty good. The flaps are very effective and make your
landings like your landing a small .60 size trainer.
The nose gear works great.
Thanks to Ben Lanterman for the photo.

If that shot doesn't depict the real thing I don't know what will, very good job.
I've had the plans for this bird since it first came out (I was young then!), what cowling and windshield and wheelpants have you used, after market products or did you make them yourself?
