Default broken aerohawk tail boom.

can i fix a cracked tail boom? it has a crack almost the full length. will ca be ok? what effect will this have on flight? i will eventually order a new one but right now i can't find one supplier that has everything i need in stock.

Try replacing it with aluminum tubing...I know it will bend if you hit hard enough..but what the heck..your flying .You can get the alum at a local hardware store.
At least until you can get some carbon tubes from your supplier.

crashed i guess. may have been from a boom strike during death wobble. i dunno

Do not replace ur it to aluminum tube unless you can make a good supporter for it and use the thick tube... at lease 1mm or else it useless.... will bend every time .... (but if you super pilot.. then don't worry) but i assume not... since u broke the carbon fiber ...
Maybe u can try something like mine....

i stuck a fingernail in the boom split and ran some ca into it and all seems fine now. didn't even glue myself to the heli.

Hey guys, you might be able to use an aluminum arrow shaft, available at most sporting good and archery places, even online. they use really tough alum, and its annodized in almost any colors. also comes in different sizes, and wall thickness.
