Default Brison 2.4 throttle/timing advance is stiff

Hi,
I just bought a used 2.4 with a throttle-coupled timing advance ring, and the throttle is very hard to move because the timing ring is very tight. I tried oiling it, which helped a little, but not much. The white nylon? timing advance ring is sandwiched between two keepers that are causing the binding. I ran it the other day, and once the engine got hot, the binding went away. It seems that it's going to require lots of servo torque to overcome the binding, until the engine gets started and warms up.

Is this normal? And, if not, what can be done to fix it?

I tried a normal Zinger 20-10 and got around 6700 rpm. Does this sound ok? What prop runs best with this engine in a 1/4 scale aerobat weighing around 13-15 lbs?

Thanks,
Jai

Yes, the prop size and rpms are ok. As for the binding, it is not normal. You may send it to us if you would like.
Thanks Trey
